  • You’ll need to give your first and last name and the country you live in
  • You can add a picture if you want
  • The user name you give yourself mustn’t contain any special characters
  • You won’t be able to change it after you’ve saved it
  • Privacy is important and the e-mail address you supply won’t ever be made visible to the outside world
  • You can change your e-mail address later on if you want
  • We’ve added a visual security check code to stop machine spam and incorrect use
  • You’ll have to type it in, copying what is displayed when you register
  • Make sure that you understand our Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use
  • These exist to ensure that the community remains a useful, fair and non commercial site
  • Click the box to show you have read the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy
  • Later on, you can add more information to your profile
  • Give other details such as the instant messaging services you subscribe to, the area of the world you live in, or the pulses you’re most interested in
  • This information can help you keep in touch with others who have the same interests as you or who live in the same area.

Second ask your question and start the pulse
  • You’ll need to add a topic that identifies the subject area
  • That will help others follow pulses of the same type

Search by topic or keyword to find the relevant pulse
  • Click the Pulse tab at the top of the page
  • That’ll take you to the page of contributions
  • Search by tag or keyword
  • There are nine main categories to get you started
  • You can suggest more keywords that will be added as they are approved
  • You can also search by wattwatters you know have already contributed
  • Tagwords will help you find related pulses
  • Rate those contributions you find most useful
  • The more green that shows up the more wattwatter approval you have

Post an article and tell your friends about it
  • Click the Pulse tab at the top of the page
  • That’ll take you to the page of contributions
  • Select the input language
  • You can submit text in any one of five Western languages
  • English, French, German, Italian, Spanish
  • That can help other wattwatters search for contributions they understand better
  • Write your text giving it a meaningful title
  • The title is what will first be seen by other wattwatters
  • Click on relevant editing tools to format it
  • Bold, underscore, italic, etc.
  • Add URL links or images.
  • Save your contribution as draft or publish it
  • Once you’ve published your pulse you’ll only be able to edit it, not delete it
  • If you want time to read it through again, save it first as a draft
  • You’ll see the list of your own contributions in the side panel
  • Decide on a main topic and add your own keywords

  • That’ll take you to the community page of wattwatters
  • Enter a word in the search box
  • You can sort by the most recent or the most popular wattwatter
  • You can refine your search selecting a geographical area
  • Browse by keyword
  • You can narrow down your search specifying pulses
Add key wattwatters to your own list of contacts

  • Click the Send a message button
  • You won’t be able to see the actual email address
