Pneus et plastiques recyclés par hyperfréquences

Aux Etats-Unis et au Canada, 7 % seulement des 314 millions de pneus usés sont regommés chaque année. Le reste encombre d'immenses surfaces de stockage, la pyrolyse étant trop coûteuse et l'incinération trop polluante. Un nouveau procédé permet maintenant de nettoyer toutes les décharges de pneus et de plastiques en les soumettant à des "vibrations moléculaires" qui dissocient les chaînes d'hydrocarbures afin de les transformer instantanément en gaz naturel et en gazole! L'appareil -le Hawk-10, qui ressemble à un four ou à une bétonnière, bombarde le caoutchouc ou le plastique au moyen de 1200 micro-ondes différentes. La moitié du poids traité est restituée en énergie réutilisable, dont 81 % de gazole et 19 % de gaz combustible. Un pneu à carcasse radiale de 9 kg donnera donc: 4,5 litres de gazole + 1,4 mètre cube de gaz naturel + 1 kg d'acier + 3,4 kg de carbone, qui sont les éléments permettant de le reconstruire. Le plus intéressant dans ce procédé est que l'énergie ainsi récupérée rend le four autosuffisant et même fournisseur d'énergie, sans aucune pollution !

Je trouve ce procédé très intéressant. Rien n'est dit cependant sur le sujet qui nous intéresse: l'électricité!

- Quel procédé est utilisé pour générer les "vibrations moléculaires" et comment sont produites les micro-ondes?

- Combien d'électricité est utilisée ou nécessaire pour la transformation des pneus? 

Il y a un excellent site en France qui donne plein d'informations sur les pneus. Je reste encore sur ma faim en ce qui concerne les chiffres d'énergie électrique.
