Electricity is vital
The China Daily reported yesterday that two more people had died in attempting to assure transmission of electricity to the Chinese population besieged with snow and ice.
That Premier Wen Jiabao had personally visited the family members of the three electricians who had died on Saturday when cleaning the ice from a transmission tower and offered them a bow in place of words he couldn't find to express his condolences, shows national recognition of how important electrical energy is in our lives.
I'm not saying we should all give our lives, no. But remember we all have a personal role to play in ensuring the future of electricity and a responsibility to maintain the comfort with which it provides us. Yes!
