Put the lid on, keep the heat in and save a few pennies
- Putting the lid on your saucepan while you're heating up stuff is one of the ways you can save a few bob here and there.
- Another is to switch off the hotplate a couple of minutes before your meal is finished and allow the residual heat to finish off the job.
The meal will taste the same and you'll have saved yourself a few pennies which all add up at the end of the year!
