Diner pooling
I wonder if my grand-mother restaurant network can make it under the "ideas saving energy" category.
It works like that:
• we invite a grand mother – carefully selected by professional eaters – who will cook for the evening with the help of a restaurant’s team.
• people show up at the place around 6:30pm for an apero.
• the food is served between 19h30 and 20h30.
• we install big tables to create a friendly atmosphere.
• at the end of the night, you can propose your grand mother and if she makes unforgettable food, she might be the next star!
The advantages are numerous:
- instead of having 50 people turning their kitchen on, you only have one restaurant!
- grandmas are known to work with old techniques rather than electrical devices, so their carbon footprint is much lesser than your average 20 something cook
- grandmas hate planes, so they will usually show up by car or better, train or bike
- grandmas always do too much food, which can then be reused to make bio ethanol or something really snazzy like that.
