Some clever new smart meters
Following up on my pulse on testing of smart meters, I came across another interesing company offering a smart meter that can help the end-user get real-time information on energy habits. While I don't want to start turning into a window on commercial presentations, I find it interesting to share experiences on these types of products ( http://www.efergy.com/en/product.php?action=pre&page=2). While many companies are "jumping on the efficiency bandwagon", surely this shows how good business can be made out of trying to help people understand and change their energy consumption habits. The Efergy smart meter is wireless and stores energy usage in CPU for later analysis. What's fascinating is the company's call on the 20.10 project to reduce energy consumption by 10% by 2010. As far as I can understand, the company is only currently in China, Spain and UK.
